My birthdy adventure!

Because it rained pretty much all day on my actual birthday, this past saturday we celebrated with my birthday adventure! Now, mk did a great job with my birthday presents but he knows how I adore adventures, so that was part of the gifts as well :)

We had a nice lie in, got ready, stopped at starbucks for my free drink and then, headed to L.A.

We've decided that there are gems in L.A. as long as you don't mind the craziness that you run into...i.e. man riding a bike wearing a bra, short skirt, and OBVIOUSLY no boxers, man yelling at you to "repent" while you're in line for food, being cut off...CONSTANTLY!

Here's our adventure: L.A. farmers market, the Griffith observatory, pink's hot dogs.

Change....

is happening all around and I'm trying to cope....I've never been great at this thing, change, but I thought I had gotten better over the years. Apparently not. So, I'm asking God for peace and understanding. I'm learning to grasp this time. And I'm finding encouragement in my husband....

I celebrated my birthday on Saturday....let's just say it was,um, interesting?! I'm thankful for friends, my siblings (and parents for their gift) and for my husband trying to learn who I am and how I function...

So excited to hang out and help where can with Whit and Megan today as they do a GORGEOUS photo shoot! And excited because Rosie as a button had the pleasure of doing the boutonniere's! Have a wonderful day friends!

BIRTHDAY!

It's my birthday month! I'll admit, I always have such high expectations for my bday and they always seem to flop....This year though, I have 2 things to be excited for;

1. I have a hubby who promises to take me on an adventure!

2. I may get my new "niece" as my bestie is due on the 12th (so that might make for an adventure in it self!)

I'm slowly getting idea's together for my "adventure" here's some thoughts;

CAMP!

I wanna work at one again....and this time I want to do it with my hubby! Maybe a door will open at one at some point?! 

I've always loved the song from Pocahontas "Just around the river bend" and "I want adventure" from Beauty and the beast....and sometimes I feel like I considerate on that so much. I long for adventure, I long to see what's next.

Mk and I are in a season where we're searching, we're searching for where and what we should be doing. I want "adventure" with my dear husband. Oh this yearning soul...

I want opportunity. I want security. I want....
