This past weekend, we went away for the first time since our honeymoon! It was so wonderful to be gone and not worried about time. Mk got to take friday off so we had 3 full days together. The only down side was mk has been sick with a cold so he wasn't 100% but we still had a glories time! We went to San Diego where we got to stay in a hotel, go to Sea World, and shop. We fully intend to keep up going places as it did us a world of good!

Journey...
I feel as though I'm on a bit of a journey right now....I LOVE being married to my mk, but I'm not feeling very satisfied in life right now.
What more could/should I be doing?
How can I and we as a couple, make a difference?
How can I fall in love with Jesus again?
How do I answer "the call" and give up comforts?
How can I measure up to everyone else?
How can I change?
I don't like not having the joy of the Lord about me. I don't like the thought of giving things up. I don't like that my family is spread around. I don't like that I feel like I'm failing...a lot...lately. I don't like being negative. I don't know how to fully explain how I'm feeling and when i do try, i seem to be misunderstood.....
I want to find purpose, strength, joy, hope. I want to make a difference, change something/someone. I don't want to be told (for the umpteenth time) that I need more education, that I need more money, that i need to be content where I am....

Grand day!
On saturday my love and I went to Oak Glen...to pick apples...too bad the apples were all gone :) We still had a lovely day and I'm so thankful I have such a wonderful husband, who's so fun to go on adventures with! We ended up walking through a few of the farms, eating at a VERY busy restaurant (but did have good food) buying some cider and trying my fav of the day, donuts! There was this place i'd heard about were you get mini donuts and pick flavors you want, we got pumpkin spice (of course!) and caramel apple, both delish! Last stop was to pick up an apple pie to share with the sibs, and man, it just about was as good as mine ;)
"Grand day's" are wonderful.....

Here it is, my list! (notice friday's post...)
Sometimes I struggle with making list like this (even though I normally thrive on making list!) Because I want to accomplish them so badly :) But I'm just gonna enjoy the journey!
1. Read my bible at least once a week! I'm not the best at this so this makes it more of an attainable goal!
2. Make at least part of all the Christmas gifts I give this year
3.Learn to drive manual...my hubby has tried a few times to teach me but we need the lessons to return...
4.Sell something on my etsy shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/RosieasaButton
5.Get a sewing machine (lots more to add to Etsy this way!)
6.Go see "white Christmas" (my fav movie is now a musical!)
7.Finally set up my craft corner. Having my first home, makes this a reality!
8. Start putting together my wedding album. Any one know a good company to use?
9. Go away for a weekend with my hubby!
10. Exercise 3 times a week...I don't want that "happy 10lbs"...although I'm afraid i'm not far from it...
11. Get a bike. Mk and I have been talking about this since before we were married....
12. Write a letter to someone once a week!

I love reading Danni's blog;
http://www.ohhellofriendblog.com/
Honestly, in the mornings, I grab my coffee and head over to "hello friend"....she's doing this great idea of completing 12 goals before the year is up! So I'm gonna join! I want to really think about what my goal's are so I'll post them on Monday! Can't wait to see how it goes!

Giving up....
(Things you once thought were important...)
Perhaps you thought this was going to be a negative post but on the contrary, it's some things I've learned being with my husband for 2 years! We are still just in our 4th month of marriage but have been together for 2 years. Our first date was October 14, 2009...we count that as our "anniversary" because we both walked away thinking this was a pretty significant change in our lives.
So, here's some things I've given up :)
1. Not always having a plan
2. The fact that some one else might indeed use MY tooth brush (once a gross thing to me but now...we're married...)
3. He uses MY hairbrush! (some days I wonder "what did he ever do with out me?!") :)
4. I'm a night person, mk's a morning person...I now go to bed most nights at 9pm...
5. I like things busy...mk likes them slow
6. shopping ferociously...although I'm seeing this is definitely a good change!
7. It's not all about me...although mk does a great job of trying to make it that way :)
8. I like using my debt card...he likes cash
There are of course a million other things, but I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard :)
I love you mk more today then I did almost 2 years ago...I was so ready to say it to you quickly because I knew...I knew you were the one for me! I thank God daily for you, I thank God for the many first we shared together, I thank God that even through MANY big changes in my life, you have stuck with me. I love you. I love that I have freedom to say that to you daily and I love that I will forever be, your RB. My heart is yours (and Jesus') Happy 2 year!

Grand Day
So, even though this weekend consisted of a very tough day (my parents and bro leaving) it also had a bright side! Celebrating my sister's 30th birthday! That's right, she's full of grace, beauty and wisdom and has the wonderful privilege of 30 good years to be thankful for. Even though she may not be completely where she thought she would be at 30, she never ceases to amaze people of all her accomplishments! (especially from a sibling point of view!) Her biggest one is soon upon her, on Dec 16, she will become a graduate :)
We celebrated with an "old fashion picnic" at Carbon canyon park. It was a joy to plan the day and yummy to make some of the treats :) Enjoy some pictures from the day...
